Our Story
The hurricanes closed our doors for a year — but a closed door is not the same as an ending. What was lost is becoming the ground for something new. Temple de la Luna is reopening not simply restored to what it was, but grown into what it was always meant to become: a full sanctuary, rebuilt and expanded, holding space for healing, community, and quiet transformation.
This is a syllabus of that vision — what’s being rebuilt, what’s being newly grown, and what you can expect to find when our doors open again.
A Triumph from the Past
Long before the storms, before these walls held their first ceremony, this vision began somewhere else entirely — on the road, in search of something the modern world had quietly forgotten how to offer.
I spent years traveling far from home, seeking out plant medicine traditions and prayer medicine passed down through generations of healers, elders, and keepers of old knowledge. I sat with teachers in places most maps don’t name. I learned that healing is not one practice but many — a root prepared a certain way, a prayer spoken at a certain hour, a plant grown and gathered with reverence rather than haste. I carried that knowledge home not as souvenirs, but as responsibility.
Temple de la Luna was built from that journey. And what’s rising now — the healing garden, the sanctuary restored — carries the same spirit forward.
As part of this new chapter, I’m bringing something else home with me: a gift shop unlike others you’ll find. Not mass-produced trinkets, but real, unique offerings — items sourced with the same intention as everything else here: plant medicine, ceremonial tools, and pieces gathered directly from the healers, artisans, and traditions I encountered along the way. Every item will carry a story, a lineage, and a purpose.
This is not a new idea. It is a promise I made long ago, finally coming fully home.
Offering One: The Sanctuary, Fully Restored
Our original temple spaces, repaired and returned to full capacity.
What’s included:
- Full structural repair and restoration of the temple grounds
- Indoor gathering and ceremony spaces returned to use
- Restored altars, ritual spaces, and quiet rooms for reflection
- Renewed capacity to host our full calendar of community offerings
Offering Two: The Healing Garden
A new growth for our sanctuary — a dedicated space where the earth itself becomes part of the healing work.
What’s included:
- A cultivated garden space designed for contemplative and hands-on plant work
- Home to our Spiritual Horticulture Program and future garden-based offerings
- Native and medicinal plantings selected for their healing and symbolic significance
- Open garden hours for quiet personal reflection, outside of scheduled programming
- A gathering space for circles, ceremonies, and seasonal rituals held outdoors
Offering Three: The Coffee Shop
An entirely new addition — a place for the everyday sacred, where community gathers not just for ceremony, but for the ordinary moments in between.
What’s included:
- A welcoming café space open to the public, not just program participants
- Coffee, tea, and light fare sourced with the same intention and care as our programs
- A gathering spot before or after garden sessions, meditations, or simply on its own
- Seating designed for connection — a place to sit with a friend, a journal, or a stranger who becomes one
- A bridge between the sanctuary and the surrounding community, inviting people in even when they aren’t ready for ceremony
Offering Four: Community & Ceremony
The heart of what makes Temple de la Luna a sanctuary and not just a space.

- Renewed seasonal and lunar ceremonies
- Community gatherings, healing circles, and shared meals
- Opportunities for close friends and supporters to be part of the rebuilding — through presence, hands-on help, or simply showing up when the doors reopen
